>>7995976Gura could be an enkidu like character, have more animalistic behaviours (reflect tier personality change when facing severe mental trauma maybe?). Ame could just be your normal detective stumbling upon Ina and getting caught up in hijinks. Disturbing one of the rituals leads her to saving Gura and getting a magical pocketwatch, she can't get rid off (iunno cthulhu magic bullshit, but the chain stays stuck to her). Ina wants the watch, but Ame escapes using the watch's power. Mori is tasked with reaping Ame, but the latter doesn't actually die during her scuffle with the tentacult, since the watch she got seems to be something that works beyond life and death. Mori is intrigued and a bit miffed, since she has to report back to death-sensei, who gives her the task to observe Ame.
Using the watch makes Ame have weird hallucinations about being an entertainer on an internet video platform. She uses a certain cocktail of drugs she dubbed "watson-concoction" to break through the sanity breaking effects of the pocketwatch. The hallucinations often feature an entity that refers to itself as a phoenix, yet doesnt seem to have any of the characteristics of one. Instead it resembles a young girl wearing very striking, red attire. It claims to own a fast-food chain. Ame has at this point started questioning whether the hallucinations are random or some entity trying to make contact.
