>>22482939I kinda just posted this without an ulterior motive, he does say in the thread that Live2D comes in all shapes and complexities, he obviously can't say "oh what i'm doing is pointless and nobody should get this", because it undermines is own work and effort put into the whole thing, but i think he raises a valid point where complexity and model quality both can raise the prices. You can choose where to invest in based on your preferences. My model is 3D which raises the base-price but has no animations / toggles because at the time of making the model it wasn't required (I wanted it for VR chat) and i never felt like i needed it, because the character is kinda based on a dead-inside kinda dry humor personality.
The price might be justified for the work put into it, but i do agree it might not be justified for the use you get out of it. I'm sure for vei it was more important to get something she's happy with and not because its economically a good decision.
