People aren't really impressed by somebody having a digital avatar that captures their movements and facial expressions seemlessly on stream. I think anyone investing in Vtubing at this point is mentally retarded.
At this point if you're making it as a Vtuber it's because of your quality as a streamer, not because of your anime avatar. Nobody cares about this tech anymore. Not to mention the massive quality drop since it became so mainstream. Most vtubers these days don't even bother to get into the character of a cute anime girl, they just act like themselves. So you have this japanese cartoon girl talking in a modern American accent. That's the average vtuber these days.
Some new gimmick will eventually be made and that'll be the next big streaming thing. Vtubing has peaked. It's downhill from here.
