>>94481281So the issue boils down entirely to the view that her announcement was mishandled and misinterpretations of that announcement by a small section of people /here/ and on reddit/twitter weren't cleared up. I understand that point of view and I don't think you're necessarily in the wrong for feeling that way.
I also don't think it's fair to just dismiss you by saying people would have looked for a yab regardless of how she worded it or acted, even if I believe that to be true. I can't really know for sure after all.
What I can refer you to is this,
https://youtu.be/pHeooYzdsSg?t=60 >I used to want to become a nursery or kindergarten teacher, so I studied an obtained all the qualifications.>There is one thing I learned during that time that I am applying to my livestreams...>When streaming, sometimes I encounter comments like>"You seem clueless, don't you learn anything?">There a sometimes when people leave comments like yakuza>But instead of responding seriously, right?>Instead of dealing with scary or unpleasant comments>I will say "thank you for all that you do for me" to kind people who don't engage in that>Like complimenting them for what they're doing well>I'm applying that approach to everyone>It's important for creating an enjoyable streamPR is always a gamble and hindsight is 20/20. Do you legitimise the small group of people who have misinterpreted, or do you focus on the majority of people who understood your intentions and are engaging with you positively? It's not an easy decision and it even backfired for the holomem who were accused of being "bootlickers" for trying to clarify. You know who did a great job of handling it? Kiara. She essentially explained that management isn't a monolith and that every talent has their own priorities, issues and experiences. For Fauna, management stopped being worth the trouble, but that's not necessarily an indictment of Cover and Hololive as a whole nor was her announcement intended to be. To most people this was obvious, especially people who actually watch streams lol, but for some it wasn't and for some it was an opportunity to dramafag. The last thing they wanted to do was make Fauna's graduation month a miserable time addressing a controversy that took on a life of its own and blew wildly out of proportion, especially when Fauna has never been one to engage in drama or overshare things about her personal life or even talk about her problems with management. In hindsight, maybe she should have said something, or maybe that just would have made things worse. Either way, deciding to focus on the positive and keep things professional was the choice she made and I and many others think it was the right one.
