Tldr; her cat (which she named Maus) is a rescue and apparently the litter had a fatal disease that you can only really catch once the symptoms come up. She spent all her money on getting him treated at the vet, now she waits. She's prolly gotten some donos now but I imagine vet bills are insane in Canada, she'll probably need more for medicine and stuff once the cat gets better.
