Not only is it difficult to make one look good in an anime style but the fact that almost no artist in the industry works on black characters regularly means you are going to get fugly shit every time. Better to just pretend to be white and play a white character than trust these mediocre artists and riggers that the EN branch keeps using.
If someone could pull it off it could maybe hit an untapped market but without demographics info on how many minorities watch vtubers its pretty risky and requires too much effort.
