Hello, yes, schizo here with more revelations revealed to me from the ether. Very strong showing from Lia last night taking a step back from her character and hand holding us through some of the made up on the fly over arcing production plans for Phase Connect. While initially rudderless and staying afloat on the various taboos of Yab Squad there must be some sign that there is a stable demographic of exploitable, con going, merch buying Canadian immigrant and general "global citizen" types to transition from their core content and interactivity. Following up on Pippa's subconscious grooming arc leading her growing viewer base through interviews and demonstrable qualities of what does and does not make a good vtuber I feel as though the final Lia "menhera" push was an equally timed grooming process on how not to interact with the talent. Giving the big bells and whistles management notice before her "hiatus"(vacation) really helped to create a feeling of weight behind the "consequences of ones actions" for participating with the menhera arc she previously performed. Two aspects particularly enjoyable was during Lia's Application stream was the disclosure of her own cosplay/dance team experiences and how they lead her towards the position she was in today. This of course also ties into Pippa's previous interview with a similar cosplay/dance team vtuber creating a strong reflective potential in the gap of how viewers treated her versus Lia. Finally was the subtle backpedaling from Pippa in the form of disclosing that Tenma's design may have been what is now Muumi helping to muddy the waters of the Ashelia stock model disclosure she previously revealed which may have generated sour feelings for certain parties.
All together I think the Fish Headed Man is pushing towards further meta contextual and therapeutic character presentation while retaining Pippa as the company White Monkey and a lower current yab theme through certain members for the "slumming it up" feeling he can present to more financially engaging sanitized demographics.
There's also something to be said of how performers divide their attention and the subtle disclosures of that allowance being up. Of course a vtuber needs to provide a front loaded approach to push viewer retainment but there's something particularly engaging about how certain personalities go about tapering off the uncompensated viewer interaction. I like Lia and can't wait to see what she has in store for us this Season!!!
