>>35179804As a consumer am I supposed to care about which company is more profitable? My oshi isn't being paid more, they're not reinvesting that money into a better product. Why do you numberfags get so obsessed with which tribe has better numbers if it doesn't result in better content?
>>35179730The thing is this is straight up obvious managerial neglect and laziness. The livers have no control over it, but they're the ones suffering from it as fans continually get frustrated. It's not even like they're favoring anyone in particular either, Luxiem doesn't get any better merch it's all crap.
The shipping thing is so easy to solve it's really disrespectful that it's taken almost 2 years to solve and their "solution" only involved the first step goods for some retarded reason. The fact this merch is all pre-ordered 6+ months in advance it's absolutely ridiculous that they have to ship out of Japan instead of splitting inventory 50/50 between their Japanese and North American warehouses beforehand.
Regarding the customized merch, I don't really care that the birthday merch and the various merch sets are so shitty if they at least let them make their own stuff. Hololive seem willing to only break even on their specialized merch just to show appreciation to their fans and do something cool, while Nijisanji looks really bad in comparison for being unwilling to do the same. Most of the birthday sets Hololive produces don't really make a profit, or if they do it's because they were financed by the vtuber and most of that profit goes to them so they can recoup their investment. Selen tried to do the same thing in Niji and was blocked by management. It's so stupid that they stifle them like that.
Don't get me wrong I haven't watched Hololive since like early 2020, I'm not gonna shill them, but their merch game is one of the few things they're really good at. Even if they don't make acrylics or voice packs every month I'd take a good daki or figurine over all of those.
