The ridiculousness of it is what still makes me crack a smile when I see people doing it. It's the same thing when I see Chumbuds spamming "UOOOOOHHHH" which paints them as an army of hungry pedophiles, despite it clearly being posted behind a wall of irony.
Basically I find that there's far more stuff to get annoyed about on here. So I will always assume you're a newfag if goslings piss you off or if you can't simply ignore it.
