There's no right or wrong method to exercise other than that you do (postures aside)
Generally if you are fat you would want to start the cardio route, to burn off some fat but more importantly build up your lung endurance and its very good for your heart.
If you want to be a buff guy, bodybuild,, pump iron, build mass etc.
Me on the otherhand im 180cm (5'11") 60kg, and prefer to be slim ripped so im going the calisthenics route, lots of exercises with my own body weight. pushups pullups etc.
what you really want is to have a wide array of movements, you dont want to just do regular pushups, you want, regular, wide, diamond, and few more variants because each of them stresses different portions of your muscles. I'm not a gym bro by any means so anyone feel free to correct me and call me a faggot if im wrong of whatever.
If you are just starting out, working with your own bodyweight is excellent, and down the line you will figure out what you want.
All in all I welcome all the newfags here joining us on the quest to lift our wife.
