While i do agree that unhealthy obsessions are bad, humanity always had objects of infatuation, an idealistic source of energy for people to project their own to them.
The main problem with vtubers is that there is always going to be a regular person behind them (most likely women that adhere to modern standards at that), so in the end you will always end up disappointed in some way, and that disappointment or betrayal of ideals is probably more unhealthy than the para-social contract itself.
