You could argue a couple of unrelated forums serve this purpose and those guys insist on not being anonymous, for example Pipkun. On the other hand, a lot of our game lobbies fall to basic issues of communication/nobody being available since nobody can contact each other.
Freaking out because people advertise lobbies here when they have precisely no other option is a little silly. And then they scream and cry and piss their pants "just post it on your Discord that I *know* you have" when there is no such thing. When pressed, they pivot to screaming that we should create one so we don't have to use the thread, revealing the true motivation to be autism about what belongs in the thread rather than evidence of a secret clique. At no point is such a server posted or referenced aside from you conjuring it from nothing, which is where you can see a problem.
Some paranoia is warranted. The idea is not unreasonable. You have not seen actual evidence.
