Since we're lacking some serious numbers discussion, I'll start some.
This is a stats comparison of Doki and Nimi since they are both significant ex-corpo indies who left with some amount of drama behind them (not nearly on the same scale mind you, but the vibes were very much the same).

Obviously not the most accurate metric, since it doesn't take into account buffs or debuffs in the next/last 3 streams.
It also doesn't take into account the fact that Doki's numbers were heavily inflated by dramamongers in that first month.
(Only time will tell whether Nimi's situation is the same or if her current audience will remain her core moving forward.)
But the stats we have so far paint a good enough picture for comparison and extrapolation imo.
