>>6871649Lots of rules that impose some pretty hefty gameplay expectations on them, stuff they'd want to ignore and probably wouldn't be able to if Paradox had a hand in things. Like instead of having a pool of blood/vitae to spend on Disciplines you instead have to make "Rouse Checks" which determine if you become more hungry or not. The hungrier you are the more Hunger Dice you roll, which replace standard dice in your pool. They work the same but include the risk of messy criticals and bestial failures. Messy criticals is like when you do so well, but something terrible happens because of it. It can be stuff like "You killed that guy by ripping his throat out in a shower of gore and now you've breached the Masquerade". Bestial failures are the same, but for failures. It also massively changes things that are standard to WoD for little reason, it changes how damage is handled (in a very confusing way that means nothing really changed you've just got to learn a new thing now), and Disciplines are generally very different with lots of unique ones being rolled into other ones which lots of people hate. Mostly because it makes for a far worse game. It's got some good new bits too, but all of those are from VtR2e and even then it makes some of them worse.
It's also layed out like total ass. It's 3 column magazine style stuff, which makes the whole book take up way more room than it needs too. It's possibly the ugliest modern RPG book there is. See attached for an actual page they thought looked good. It's got shit like the character creation rules taking up 4 pages but those 4 pages are inserted between two paragraphs. So the book is talking about something, it stops for 4 pages to tell you about rules, then continues like nothing happened. It's really dodgy, the rules are also pretty poorly explained even if they are simpler than other WoD games. That all combined with the new lore, which radically alters the status quo she'd be used to, would just all make for a shitty stream IMO. Especially because Calli seems the sort to hate the new metaplot given how much she likes the big high power stuff of WoD.
