>>65082567Rise is the better arcade/portable style title with very high focus on combat and monsters being boss designs. It's very fun in Sunbreak, like some of the most fun you'll have playing the series, but it lacks the kind of living world feel of World.
World is a better long term investment kinda game with lots of side stuff to do, really good maps with tons of exploration and ecology. It also has a lot of good active mp endgame content. I prefer the more grounded combat but the best are the old games and the /vg/ thread for MonHun has guides on how to emulate them.
