Even with my small and pretty suboptimal dataset, the results are getting pretty good imo, though some chuubas are still very undercooked.
Character seperation feels good, even for those without massive datasets (jaiden for example). However it depends on the "weight" of the character. For example for dooby and ame, ame will just take precedence over dooby, and I haven't yet found a way to counteract this. Hopefully more training/different dataset balance will fix that, though prompt weighting can kind of help in some cases.
If anyone's curious about the technicals. Model has currently been training on 688 images for ~ 100 epochs at an calculated BS 6 (actual bs 2, with grad accumulation of 3). Took around 13-14 hours of pure training time for this version. Full Dim LoKr (with Dora activated in case it works). I lowered the LR for a while, but feel like the higher one at unet 3e-5 and TE at 1e-5 worked fine, and will probably be even better for an even larger dataset. Optimizer was Adamw8-bit.
Might train this version for a bit longer still and play around with it a bit (maybe trying to apply itercomp as well? Usually helped character understanding in Loras, somehow).
I have now settled on this method for the actual runs though, so I need to focus on finally going through all the images I downloaded and starting an actual alpha run.
