Even if you were to put a deadbolt on the door, unless it's a solid wood/metal door with a matching frame, somebody could drunkenly shoulder-check the door and probably get in anyway. Maybe even by accident if they're drunk/strong enough.
Considering CA has such a bad problem with "Party Airbnbs" that they had to write a special exemption in electrical regulation to tax the shit out of the owners, those houses are probably either made of every cut corner they can be, or have awful upkeep.
