>>20748091Mori hijinks may not be the most truly optimal decision, but my biggest issue with it is the fact that you’ll still be good/fine dealing with Mori hijinks. To climb at the highest levels, you’ll need the most optimal plays you can get but many don’t play at that optimal level required and further makes it harder to climb for newer players, I think Asdae and Bateman are the two “new” players to reach the top 50 and they’ve been performing well for ages on top of multiple top 50 players not caring/quitting above them. As time goes on, this wall and barrier of entry grows, and the simplicity and yet effectiveness of Mori hijinks along with inflation/appreciation of wallets just makes the game feel very flat leading to the stagnation of the game.
In other words, The core issue is that you can’t go “wrong” with Mori. Other metas like Gura/Rushia eventually went “wrong” (due to dev intervention) but Mori has been like this for months, it feels very stagnant as I stated. Sure I can maybe trade better than nearly all the people around me for weeks, but I’ll likely be doing the same/similar things for months to pass them, which is unsurprisingly, not fun for me or likely many.
