This has been the trend for western vtubing the past year, so it can't be said whether homos did or didn't have an impact. What you could say is that considering they were shoved down everyone's throat comparatively with a new Holo gen they have done nothing to increase overall viewers. They have either cannibalized viewers from the girls or brought in just as many new faces as they've driven away.
