Instead of following the Twitch meta of doing bikini hottub streams or shaking their ass for money they use a fully clothed virtual avatar to hide their identity which lets them interact with their fans more earnestly.
At some point the conflict between these two styles of streaming will come to a head and normies will try to cancel vtubers or shame their fans as pedophiles for not watching Twitch whores.
This will also be the point when all the VShojo whores stop vtubing and join the hottub meta because vtubing is no longer kosher within their normie Twitter circle.
Anyway at that stage vtubers will either completely die off culturally as anyone who watches them is labeled a pedophile and roasties spam op-eds about how vtubing is actually rape and Youtube/Twitch take action by banning all vtubers to appease them OR vtubers become niche and fall into the shadows and we can go back to chill pre-2020 threads where only the biggest autists watched them.
Now obviously I don't know how things will go but it seems inevitable that once normies see how much the top Hololive talents earn they'll get greedy and start harassing vtubers.
