In all things you need to keep a balance but chatting actually helps streamers since it gives them something to play off of and read or talk about. Obviously you don't want the stream to become about you but you can still support her by commenting every now and then.
You can also support her by cheering her on. Nobody wants to be the yes man who only ever says good things but at the same time it can help her to see those comments sometimes since streamers get a constant flood of anti messages.
