>>66305902The more I think about this the more I realize there were a lot of poor choices in how NijiEN built itself as a community. You don't have to pander to unicorns to make your fans feel special. But the overarching theme with many of the post-lazusydia members is they prioritized hanging out with their close-knit friend group over providing content for their own fans. They genuinely thought they could be like OTV or something where people join in for the friend group experience and each member is just a character trope within the friend group. This was at the expense of their individual fanbases, and as a result no one cares about any of the individual members. They just tune in based on the participants in a particular collab. Only Lazusydia took the time to develop a community that will watch them no matter what content they're doing just to support their oshi. And Fulgur I guess. This was the real downfall of NijiEN, ironically being too friendly with eachother.
