YouTube is about to redefine and reinforce what it means to be "for children". It will do this purely algorithmically. Any channel heavily relying on cartoon graphics or video games will quickly (and already have) start losing monetization or be terminated outright. There's going to be a panic as people see their livelihoods wiped out and scramble to find a platform to replace YouTube. Many will deny it and try to act like it is only a passing issue.
Cover has known about this for a long while, which is why nearly everyone has tested Twitch streaming. However, they're (as usual) not ready for it and will be hit hard as well.
