I remember I was watching Mai-Otome when I was like 7 years old because my dad had it downloaded on his PC that he handed down to me when he upgraded. This was back in ~2007. I watched it dub though because I didn't know how to read subtitles at the time. Before that I did watch Shuffle! subbed on the same PC. Had to get my brother to read the subtitles for me because I was like 5-6 years old and my parents didn't teach me how to read yet, my brother loved reading books. Anyway, back to Mai-Otome. Later on in the show, the red haired spider-themed girl asked Nina Wang if she was a virgin. I didn't know what it meant at the time so I thought it had to do with some story context that I had somehow missed. I remember it clearly because they were acting coy about it and I was pissed and wanted a clear explanation.
