The mistake was management spending all of 2022 going all-in on Luxiem because they thought the revenue growth the branch got during the wave's honeymoon period would continue in perpetuity, and then spending all of 2023 and the first five weeks of 2024 continuing to go all-in on Luxiem lest they admit that they were wrong to expect perpetual exponential revenue growth.
This is NOT to say that the Luxiem boys did nothing wrong - they did plenty wrong, especially Luca. They just happened to have a stronger start than Council did, and also tapped into a theretofore untapped market (namely a male vtuber group in the western/overseas market) in the process. But the mistake was management feeding the Luxiem horses all the oats they wanted while assuming that some oats would pass through for the sparrows in the other waves.
