Engagement outside of the stream can be just as important: respond to them on Twitter, leave comments on YT. Even if they don't leave a heart or like they've most likely seen it and will definitely appreciate it, both for algorithmic reasons and your support.
However the ones who stand out the most, particularly in small-to-midrange communities, are the creators; clippers, artists (2D, 3D, music, even if you're not good at it) and meme creators provide entertainment and potential content for the streamer to utilize as advertisement for themselves and tighten community interaction. Creatives also appreciate other creatives, and if you care enough about the content they spend their time on to spend your own time on creating something related to it? It's touching to know you've inspired someone to do that and sticks with you for a long time.
