One of the clinical manifestations of acute glomerulonephritis is hematuria, which is the presence of blood in the urine. This happens because you glomerulus can no longer filter your blood properly, leading to it being excreted with other wastes instead of getting reabsorbed back into the bloodstream in the tubules. Other abnormalities in the urine like oliguria, anuria, glycosuria, proteinuria, polyuria are all due to your glomerulus not working as intended. Substances that are not supposed to be excreted are released just like glucose and protein.
