If someone you like changes too much, or your tastes change to the point you like someone else more than them then it isn't unfaithful, it's just the way these things go. No sense staying with someone if your love for them is entirely based on what things used to be like instead of looking forward to the future.
Now this doesn't really apply to my oshi because I still love her very much, but this MGS arc is really testing my love. I really wish she'd move on to worshiping some other media instead of a soulless corpse of a franchise but I'll keep supporting her despite the cringe.
