Just say that they are all friends, damn, the more the merrier.
Unless of course she thinks her fanbase is a bunch of creepy weirdos and she actually hates them, that is the only reason I can think off.
I mean come on, friendship isn't some sort of heavy commitment its just mutual respect and having fun times together.
