resprouters, is crown sprouting. Unlike stem resprouters, coppiced trees and serotinoius trees, the function is almost entirely for the purpose of surviving fires. What makes it distinct is, the entire plant can be burned, but it has a "body" underground
and sometimes above ground too, sometimes even in fallen tree trunks! that stores nutrients and allows the plant to regrow despite complete surface destruction. An example of this is the propeller banksia shrub!
