>>30335327I'm just thinking along those lines since sending your own work to an established VA as a relative indie for critique seems like an uncommon practice at least, which is why I think the person she's referring to would likely be someone in the same sphere of relevance she was operating out at the time at least.
I'd imagine in terms of finding work that actually pays at the indie level vs doing "FOR EXPOSURE" recording for free, the competition is a little more cutthroat, so I wouldn't necessarily be surprised if the person she looked up to saw potential competition and was deliberately mean in hopes she'd give up.
