Nature anon here,Our sanctuary takes care of all species of tempanimals this includes farm animals like this Dairy Bettel Cow that arrived Wednesday. Her name is Sherbet. Sherbet's story is kinda sad she had been a milker at a near bye Dairy farm. the farm hired someone to rewire the barn as it wasn't heating well in the winter. unfortunately the person they hired was a scumbag who did faulty work, the faulty work caused an electrical fire killing all the cattle but sherbet who snuck out to graze late at night. the fire and loss of her herd stressed her so much she stopped eating from the stress.her owner decided to bring her to us to see if we can help her by introducing her to the few cattle we have. This has proven successful as she has started eating again, however she does refuse to sleep in the barn and doesn't like the other cattle going into it as well. We have decided to keep the barn open at all times right now allowing the cows to come and go as the please to in hopes that seeing it is safe will convince Sherbet to give the barn a shot.
