>>18231806I'm gonna say something unexpected:
You know how things used to be in the golden days of /a/ more than a decade ago? Anons had a clear understanding that 3D (IRL) is pig disgusting (3DPD), and to separate 2D from 3D. (Seiyuu were 2.5D and an exception). They were happy with just engaging in 2D interests.
Then a new brand of newfags came in, they were spamming "tfw no gf" and sadfrog/"feels bad man" pics (the only Pepe pic that was used by then, there were barely any pepe variations until years after when they were spammed to hell and killed most of the site's OC). This was way before the ironic weeb wave.
These people were recognized as invaders and named as "failed normalfags" and later became /r9k/. You know why? Because they weren't invested in the otaku board hobbies like the old anons, they were there just to COPE with having no gf. They brought needs, expectations and garbage from the 3D world into the 2D otaku world, fucking it up.
So in a way, the first ones to shit on both on the incels and GFE done by 3DPD, was /a/ and assorted otaku boards.
roughly speaking /a/ oldfags were invaded by gaiafags, who were invaded by "tfw no gf" failed normalfags and /r9k/, who were invaded by tumblrfags, who were invaded by ironic weebs, who were invaded by /pol/ frogposters and redditors, who are invaded by twitter and discord normalfags.
GFEfags are in the same category of those failed normalfags who weren't able to separate 2D from 3D and are just polluting the otaku boards because of "no gf" cope.
