When I was a research assistant they made me clean out an entire basement filled with old Pyrex labware - they wanted it destroyed. This shit was so old some of it still said "Made in West Germany" on it - Masters students grabbed those. I kept as many beakers and flasks as I could fit in my backpack. You could see and feel the difference in thickness between the German stuff from the 80s and 90s and the American Pyrex...
I just looked it up and the painted white markings on these have 20k ppm lead in them. Oops.
