>>53201960I haven't been to a movie theater since the two of us went to one ~4 years ago. She spent most of the time comparing it to her parents' theater and telling me details about the business. Stuff like how the reason why popcorn and drinks cost as much as they do is because most theaters have a raw deal with the movie studios so many theaters need to sell popcorn and drinks at such a high markup otherwise they wouldn't be able to afford to pay their staff.
She was a weird one because as much as she loved the atmosphere and whole event of going to a movie theater, we spent most of our time watching movies from the Criterion collection and old anime shows. She even got me to start watching Legend of Galactic Heroes but I just can't bring myself to finish it without her.
Every day I wonder how things would have turned out if I were to have fought harder to make things work but then again I think that's why I spend my time watching vtubers as a means of trying to forget her.
