>—It's a large-scale event indeed. This must be a huge project for the entire event planning team. Which areas did you focus on particularly?
>Y: We focused heavily on catering to inbound demand. Past surveys showed many overseas fans wanted to attend but couldn't due to the pandemic, and they also requested overseas ticket sales. This year, we collaborated with travel agencies for inbound tours and allocated tickets for overseas sales.
>We ensured all event materials, from the website to venue signage, were translated. This required careful verification to accurately convey unique names and difficult expressions related to the talents.
>—How long does it take to prepare for Hololive SUPER EXPO?
>K: About a year.
>Y: For the event planning team, the end of one event marks the start of the next.
>—A whole year! Designing an event a year ahead considering trends must be challenging.
>Y: It's something we are always mindful of. Just because an event was successful this time doesn’t guarantee the same results next time. We continuously think about how to entertain attendees.
>We work with the Operations Planning Headquarters and planners to keep up with changing trends. Personally, I watch various streamers' broadcasts to gather information.
>—What challenges do you face as a team or individually in your work?
>K: Coordinating illustration production can be challenging. Balancing necessary adjustments while preserving creators' strengths and individuality is crucial. I’ve realized the importance of respecting others in all interactions.
>Y: We responded to inbound demand this time at Hololive SUPER EXPO 2024. Meanwhile, overseas events are led by another team, and they are also thriving. I casually chat with the overseas team, and in the future, I hope to combine our expertise to plan and produce new events both domestically and internationally.
>A challenge for the team is maintaining consistent quality despite differences in experience and knowledge among members. Additionally, as cross-departmental projects increase, ensuring stable progress while accommodating diverse event needs remains a challenge.
