They're like the EN equivalent of Okayu. Very intelligible with only a style to their voice.
That's really the crux of the issue-- why do ESL's seem to think having a distinguishable voice makes you unintelligible to natives? I had a similar argument in the past about Kobo too. Indonesians on this board are convinced Kobo can barely communicate in English. She has an accent, but it's not something that gets in the way of her ability to communicate. If you're native, you shouldn't really have a problem verbally understanding Kobo, and CERTAINLY not Fuwamoco, who are practically accent-less.
