That's because they've seen it, time and time again, pictures of people doing this, their favorite idols and vtubers on girls' bags being displayed at events, they dreamed of one day it being their face there. It has nothing to do with selling fucking pins, they're loaded now, they don't need it, they just dream of seeing them in there.
They show the same enthusiasm with for example framing Senchou's drawing of Moco-chan. They absolutely watched the comfy Marine streams drawing their coworkers and fantasized of the ones being drawed being them one day. And now it's real.
Unlike the normalfag turned idol you usually get in EN (which there's nothing wrong with, this isn't criticism), all of the corporate stuff they're doing isn't something they do because they have to but wish they didn't, it's a dream come true.
