I bet in reality neither of them thought the joke was a big deal until they saw that tweet which got shared /here/, considering it took FIVE HOURS after the stream for Enna to apologize. When they realized they were getting cancelled the best course of action for Enna was to feign ignorance and Kyo to act like he's the one who taught her about microagressions and shit(it's a much cleaner image to present than the reality which is that they both don't really care because edgy jokes are funny). By the end both of them get to come out looking way better than they actually are to the general public.
Honestly how else was Enna supposed to address it? Accuse Kyo of enabling her? That would've meant she KNEW the joke was racist and she would've gotten cancelled even harder.
