The ultimate conclusion I've drawn is that for a fan it is much more worthwhile and fun to watch small corpos and indies, because they preserve the amateur spirit, there's constant back and forth between the chuubas and the audience and they are much more attuned to the general culture and quicker to adapt to changing situations. In terms of raw quality even there small corpos win out.
Basically EN3 will just keep HoloEN in the game, but it won't be some sort of Renaissance or a huge gain for them. It's a move out of raw necessity. But I'm not interested. Everything that is good about vtubing exists solely in the small corpo and indie scene.
