If chammers only comes back around the end of this year or possibly early 2024, it would be the longest hiatus ever taken by a Hololive member. Even now I think she still holds that record, but with that length she would be comparable to some nijis as well (Roa, Kataribe, Sukoya etc.).
I assume this is not just because of Health reasons, but for finishing her college as well.
We've always beleb'd in the power of the Box, because of events like Miko's 3 month hiatus and her HUGE welcome back, as well as stuff like Laplus' menhera break and Ina's 2-3 month hiatus not losing them much of their audience. Same with Gura's inconsistent streams, she still holds on to a lot of her numbers (although it has indeed reclined from her peak days).
But I think Haachama's hiatus will be the biggest test of this theory yet.
What are Haatons doing right now? I wonder if they are watching other Holos for news about her to tide them over? Or would they go watch Nijisanji since some of her content matches the vibes of certain Nijis like Mito? Would they still remember Haachama while still watching her friends having fun? Would they go back to her once her hiatus is done, or would they stay with whoever they're watching right now?
When do you think she will be back after college, and what do you guys think her numbers will be after she gets back?
Do you guys think the HoloBox is strong enough for her to still have an audience 6-8 months from now?
