I find it quite necessary to be careful when becoming emotionally attached to a vtuber. You don't know them, and they don't know you. In general, the more you try to cozy up to a vtuber and attempt to form a close relationship with them, you'll end up crashing and burning as your expectations fail to meet reality and/or reality pistol whips you like your father after some white lightning. Remember that one Arctic Monkeys song:

Honestly, just pirate Vtuber streams/find an APK front-end and/or use an ad blocker. Yes, yes, I know I sound like *that* guy:

>Stolen debit card
>Robbed bed
but you need to manage and HEAVILY check yourself when you're dropping 5-10% of your wealth/salary on Vtubers. It's just like gacha, the only way to win, is not pay. Also, why would you want to "roll" for a Gacha character? Just read/look at the art/hentai. I think plenty of Fate/Blue Archive/Genshin Impact characters are hot, but do I spend money/play the game to get the animated character? Heavens no.
My third rant, is a bit of a dig towards Vtubers. I am BEGGING you. Try to create a *separate* account for your Vtuber account ON YOUR PC. There are so many Vtubers, who are so tech illiterate that they really need to take a course on internet safety. It is not hard to create a local account on your computer. Also, make sure you're using a temporary debit card for any donations. Streamlabs and Twitch will dox the hell out of you!
Final rant is just on the utter lack of reading comprehension in the majority of /vt//internet users. For God's sake are you incapable of reading several sentences to understand the context of an incident? Does the world have to force a horrible corporate contract on you/skullf@ck you to FORCE you to read carefully?
Anyways, those were my rants. Take them with at least 500 grams of salt as they are of my own opinion and I have not backed them up with sources, nor do I desire to expend the energy to do so. I've got plenty more rants in the chamber, but I don't really want to spend my afternoon typing so much.
