Everyone on the outside knows that this junk isn't worth even 1/5th of it's price, but they jack up the prices and add useless gimmicks to make people keep BUY BUY BUY-ing, and half of the time they don't even send you what you bought until 2 years later.
It's similar to how 'audiophile' merch is a scam, they know that they are taking advantage of people.
