Corpo means IP is owned by a company in Japanese, it's implicitly implied. She literally translated "Are you now owned by a company?" to "個人勢から企業勢に転身したの?", which actually means "are you switching from indie to corpo". Technically being partnered with a corporation but also not being owned by them, having no boss, and having total freedom is literally a foreign concept, which is why she explained it the way that she did.
