Here's a thought exercise for all of (You): every time you read a post about unicorns, meantally replace words like 'mentally ill' or 'insane' or whatever with PROBLEMATIC or TOXIC MASUCLINITY instead and you'll realize that it's 1:1
the way people respond to unicorsn is much in the same way progressive types talk about men in general - that they are problematic, deranged and evil by nature and are this way for no apparent reason at all, that their natural impulses are all deranged and should be shamed or kept in check and suppressed. This is why there is such overlap between these type of twitterfags and pro-holostar collab and why they interchangeably use words like chud and incel for unicorns. Anti-unicorn types react to unicorns in the exact same way that progressives do to men in general.
The reality is that, like the 'toxic males' and 'incel' boogeymen that progressives harp on about all day long, these deranged crazy unicorns didn't appear out of nowhere, just born insane for no reason. They are a product of the vtubing industry itself and exist because the content creators, like Shiori, literally deliberately created them that way. Unicorns started out as lonely men without gfs who can't get laid in their real lives - the same super scary 'incels' mentioned before that scare progressives so much - who then stumbled across vtubing and attached themselves to some oshi or other as a substitue for female attention.
Seeing this the vtubers then, fully understanding what their audience is and what was happening, took advantage of this and molded them into the deranged mentally ill problematic evil unicorns by fostering their natural and normal feelings of affection, hearting comments of love, giving them kisses on stream, telling them they love them etc. only to turn around going 'fuck you crazy person (who I created)' and swanning away from the situation
And somehow you are supposed to look at this and think the le problematic, toxic males are at fault, that they are just choosing to be crazy and evil, that they appeared out of nowhere, and deserve the scorn they are getting for their naturally occurring and deliberately fostered feelings.
They're not 'mentally ill' or 'insane' they're reacting naturally how they were taught to and are being abused. The whole thing is fucked up.
