The trick to networking is to not care about about reciprocation.
People get hung up hard on rejection when in reality it's preselection bias, not actual rejection.
To have friendship you have to actually engage with people with common interest, which is not hard considered most of you play pokemon, which is entry level easiness for finding a community.
