Irys is the only remaining vsinger after Azki was rolled into hololive proper.
It's pretty likely that when her contract next comes up for renewal that "project hope" will be shuttered and she'll be formally incorporated into Council. Moreso than she already is.
So everyone going "OH VSINGER VSINGER!" are completely ignoring the fact that Cover has abandoned the vsinger concept.

Possible. But as it stands not enough info to make any kind of call there.
Also Cover has a history of not revealing or teasing new gens during an existing gens live event.
Now this was a HoloEN event. But still. Precedent is against this.
More likely its a teaser for their next big event. Probably something halloween themed.
CoverEN seems to have suffered a lot in the past with management issues. But since Tempus showed up we've seen a steady uptick in terms of their activity and competence.
My guess is that this is tied to the increasing involvement of CoverJP. Primarily Yagoo and A-Chan who have both reportedly been getting increasingly involved in the EN side of the business and improving their English skills (as we saw in the event with A-Chan)
CoverEN couldn't have done this event before Tempus or even in its early days. Their management was simply too fragmented and incompetent. They literally had to rely on Ame for the first year or two to organise ANY events. Who organised and paid for the first EN anniversary stream? Fucking Ame. Who organised and paid for the halloween streams? A certain time traveling detective. Get the picture?
I think going forward we can expect a lot more events like this because the big man himself has stepped in to sort out things and cockslap the idiots who have up to this point been able to run CoverEN into the ground.
Holo and Stars EN are both going to wind up looking a lot more like their JP counterparts in terms of how they are run and the sort of events they put on.
