If that's not an option for you at the moment for whatever reason, you can try to go about it like this on your own. Look over your work again and ask yourself "if I was an external reader, would I find this fun? Would it make sense? Have I delivered on the scenes I wanted to bring to life?" Those kinda questions help put yourself in a reader's shoes and possibly give you ideas on what might need tweaking and such. Lastly, this is just my personal opinion, but you can only fail at fanfic writing if you are truly resistant to feedback, improvement, and finding fun in the writing of it. It's a hobby, and wanting others to enjoy what you contribute to it is a good goal, but I feel like it's one of those "the universe gives back what you put out" kinda deals. Chin up, you can break through that wall you built for yourself.
