>>44419294I'd say it really depends on the colony but I'd assume they'd have been able to bring their knowledge of animal breeding with them throughout the centuries, potentially even towards the biological engineering of specific feed animals. I can see industrialized production being the main stay of /ag/ since having entirely "fresh" animals can become an issue quickly when factoring in what they will eat when you're a floating colony in deep space that also needs to have enough food to feed the ships that pass by for restocks. I can see fresh food being more of a luxury item to purchase, in the deep dark of space I'd imagine that the taste of pure fresh meat might become a longing that many will fork over a buck or two to get. That one scene from the lighthouse comes to mind, kek.
