It was basically a NijiEN tier list stream that Pomu was doing, and one of the lists was centred around "How Pumpkin like are each of the NijiEN members". When Pomu got to Selen, she wanted to put Selen in the top tier because she thought that Selen was extremely Pumpkin like (rightfully so), but chat kept complaining saying stuff like "her neck's too long to be a Pumpkin", "she's too purple to be a Pumpkin (which is bullshit btw, because they had no problem with Rosemi going in the top tier, and she's pink!)", so Pomu ended up putting her in the second tier. She kept arguing with chat about it throughout the rest of that stream though, and when she had enough of people saying the dumb shit about Selen being too purple, she edited Selen's mugshot so her hair would be Orange, and that was how Pumpkinlen was born.
